We are specialists in the field of precision centerless grinding. The DeVries family has been in the centerless grinding industry since 1944 and in the Minneapolis area since the early 1970’s. Through these years, we have developed processes that assure the highest quality work is done. Our management team takes the highest pride in the standards of quality for the work we produce, and this attitude reflects down thru all of our employees. Our size allows us to cater to the needs of many customers. From a single piece prototype run to a full truck load or more. There is no job too large or too small.

Quality Warehousing & Machining

Through our years of experience we have built a vast network of vendors that allows us to source a wide variety of materials for your project. We have warehousing capabilities that give us the ability to store your materials for higher volume runs or a wide variety of piece parts. Due to our large warehouse, we are able to have a variety of metals on hand eliminating transit time to get you material fast. There are very few grades of material that we have not ground before. With our custom blended wheels, we have the knowledge base to match the right wheel to your specific project allowing for quality you can count on every time.

Our facility, located just off downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, is easy to find. Just off of many major highways, we are easily accessible from any direction. We have a drive in dock and 6000 lb. overhead crane, allowing us to move bar stock quickly and efficiently around the warehouse. With our 5000lb. forklift we are able to move containers or piece parts of all shapes and sizes. These tools coupled with our experience allow us to insure your job is loaded on the truck safely.  

In addition to screw machine firms, consumer/commercial equipment manufacturers, many steel mills and metal service centers find it advantageous to send us their material or purchase direct from us, for precision accuracy and dependable service. Unlike some grinders, we maintain a Medart bar straightener and straightening presses. This gives us the ability to provide straight bars that allow our customers to run higher RPMS or more complex parts requiring greater precision.
